Improve communication with parents, keep everyone informed and encourage organisation!

As childcare providers, it is essential that we remember to pass on important information to parents. Very often this can be done verbally at collection time but it can often be useful to provide parents with notes and reminders so as to ensure communication is not lost or forgotten after a busy day.

This handy set of notes and reminders are perfect to complete quickly, ready to hand to parents or to pop into children’s bags or diaries.

Includes ALL of the following: 

Head Bump Note

Inform parents when their child has had a bump to the head and provide them with crucial information about signs of concussion and when to seek medical assistance.

First Aid Note

Provide details of any first aid that has been administered to a child and a brief description of any accident so as parents can continue any necessary treatment and comfort at home.

Note: A full Accident Report should always be completed when a child has been involved in a serious accident. Please see the Logbooks & Forms Pack. 

Late Payment Reminder

Perfect for reminding parents when payments are overdue and providing details of how they can make payment as soon as possible.

Holiday Reminder

Remind parents when you have a holiday coming up so as they can make alternative care arrangements. Also request that they keep you informed of their own holiday dates so as you can plan ahead.

Please Provide Note

Request that parents supply you with essential items you require to ensure the safety and comfort of their child, for example nappies, milk formula, spare clothes, sun screen, etc.

Two versions of this note is provided. (With or without tick list). 

Change of Clothes Note

Inform parents when their child required a change of clothes, for example due to a toileting accident or because they have become wet or messy through play activities.

Behaviour & Emotions Note – Happy Face

Let parents know when their child has had a particularly good day, for example when they have really enjoyed or joined in with activities or when they have been helpful, kind to others or following rules. Remind parents to acknowledge and praise their child’s efforts.

Behaviour & Emotions Note – Sad Face

Inform parents when their child has been upset about something, showed poor behaviour or did not want to join in. Prompt parents to work with you to encourage their child.

Information Note

Use this general information note to share details with parents about anything important for example any changes to your service or setting, any concerns you have or to provide notification of any upcoming events.

Reminder Note

Use this general reminder note to remind parents of upcoming events and activities or things that they need to do, for example return questionnaires / learning folders, book holiday care requirements or provide something that their child might need.

All notes and reminders are provided as PDF forms and can be typed into before printing or sharing with parents digitally. Alternatively, you can choose to print out the notes and reminders as and when required to complete by hand.
