Space Discovery Report

Children can pretend to be an Astronaut or Space Explorer and use this Space Discovery Report sheet to note down what they find during an observation activity using a telescope or binoculars…. or use their imaginations to record information from a pretend space explorer mission.  An excellent resource to encourage children to look closely at the night sky and describe what they can see or to stretch their imaginations and consider what might be found in outer space. Children will learn how they can record and share information.

Outer Space Worksheets

Use these fun worksheets to help children practice their counting, reading, writing, pencil control skills and to learn more about outer space!

Picture Cards

Picture cards can be used in a variety of ways:

• To help children learn about and identify objects in space.
• For word recognition and literacy skills
• Use two sets of cards to play snap or memory games (turning over one card at a time and remembering where it is in order to match it with it’s pair).
• To test children’s knowledge (Show me a planet that is made from gas, etc.)

Space Explorer Game

This fun game will encourage children to learn about and communicate their knowledge of space and our solar system, use their counting and number skills to move around the board, recognise colours, learn about letters and their sounds and express themselves through movement and sound.
